MENTAL RAPID TRANSIT

As the door closed, heeded for that familiar sound,

Waiting for the last whistle blow, finally I’m north bound

Forced not to complain, enduring muscle strain,

Must be home soon, here comes the next train.

Squeezed inside, hand in my pocket,

Tried to reach and checked for my ticket.

No need for my scarf, AC’s down, not cold

Jam-packed, there’s no need for the bar to hold.

Lucky not to be all office-girls geared up

Who are now melting like ice drop flavored make-up,

Skimpy skirts pulled up, unaware of unbuttoned top,

....to be continued.....

TICK-TOCK

drowned with the weight of his stare,
in reverie i shivered, as I felt bare
awakened by reality, my solitude manages conceited outer amity.
mindful not to push out the stud on my nose.
i took another hit of my morning dews dose.
i bathe myself with tea to hide my skin hues
while I listen to the untimely head-bang news.
until suddenly mood blasted by silence
perplexity amuses my own kind of innocence
i let, again, the warmth of your remoteness enveloped my mass
be possessed by your voice, lullaby-ed by caress,
disillusioned by words, i lived in trance
my today is your tomorrow --- our never-ending instance.

A CITIZEN WHO PAYS TAX - NOW.

EMPLOYED. Yeah, I have now my own company ID, my own desk, my own techie wide – flat screen PC set and a designation that’s unknown to most of my law school contemporaries, my friends and relatives as well. I’m a VISA ADMINISTRATION OFFICER of STUDY CONNECT INTERNATIONAL, one of the consultancies that are sprouting all over the Philippines these days. How I ended up with this position was completely unexpected. This came as part of my random acts after getting fed up with the employment processes of my uber-loved government offices.
I was honored to be given the chance to be interviewed by one of the Court of Appeals Justices, yet, I totally screwed it up since I showed up with a surgical steel growing in my nose. ( Im pretty sure Mom will be mad to know this) I had my nose pierced as an early birthday gift and as part of liberation thing from the September Mania last October 15,2009. The surgical steel should not be removed for two weeks. The interview was scheduled on the 21st. So Justice must have been shocked and eventually decided that he can’t be working with a punk in his chamber. I know it must be the nose pierce. I was not given the chance to take the exam. It would have been easier for me to accept that I was rejected because I did not pass the exam. . 
Too bad, I don’t have the white, black , or rainbow-brite colored HORSE that would help me acquire a position in any of the other government offices that need somebody with exactly the same qualifications that I actually have. I have my civil service professional eligibility. I am a public administration graduate. I have my MBA units and the LLB. But still, I was not good enough.
I submitted my resume at the Presidential Management Staff who had just let my application sits at the reception center for weeks and was only forwarded to the office of Hon. Esperon after quite a few numbers of follow-ups and never ending phone transfers. It has always been like that, Im used to it. It is a BUREAU- CRAZY indeed.
Since I badly need work, I updated my online applications and got few interview invites from different companies. Most of them were in Makati. After two weeks of processing, self-assessments, weighing of consequences, perks and benefits, the call for practicality made me decide to accept the work that I have now. :)

THE KIND OF GIRL, I’m not.

I am the girl of every man’s fantasy.
A glare from me can put them on fire.
I am their curvy bikini goddess
One touch and I’ll leave them powerless.

I am the star of every night’s party
I do my hair and make up tastefully.
I love making my sorority girls envy,
I don’t care if I’m easy as long as I’m catchy.

I am every traveler’s favorite rest stop,
I offer tour and free-guilt sex to anyone with a map.
I am every city swinger’s reserved date
I am always available, even if they do the call late.

I am every loyal and loving boyfriend’s mistake
I don’t believe in love, my emotions are faked.
I am the worst nightmare that every martyr girlfriend’s got,
I’m sorry you were ditched, for you are just
THE KIND OF GIRL, I’M NOT.

Reading inspires kids; Kids inspire ME!!

"how tired i am of this unbearable distance between us
how i long for the toll of the recess bell
have you forgotten me?
grown mindless of me?
tell me i am not writing into an abyss
or that is what will become of my heart... "

Quote from Johnny's Mom

There are those who wish they had... and those who have don’t know. It’s those who know what they have should be grateful. One thing is sometimes we wish we had more, and sometimes more is not what its’ all cut out to be.

HONORABLE RECANT

There he goes, misunderstood; hated, stereotyped, usually mocked; there she goes, confused, neglected, sympathized with, and consoled. There he goes, running away; to nowhere, life’s astray. Here, she wants to stay; don’t push her away, don’t alienate. There they are loath; wounded by time and fate; there they are in-like but lost; Guilty to know its worth.

Of Being A Fan
